Event Info

Can't wait to see you!

Well, we've survived Christmas and Storm Barbara - it's time to think ahead for Hogmanay and the beautiful Snow Ball Ceilidh at the Assembly Rooms!

Please read this page - sorry if some of the info sounds a bit strict but we are certain that you will be reassured by this. We're going to have a ball!

TIMES & BARS
The venue is open from 7.45pm and the event ends (music finishes) at 1am. The bars take last orders at 12.30am and close at 12.45am. Remember that there are TWO ballrooms, TWO bars between the ballrooms plus one full bar in the front ballroom!

DRESS
Highland dress or glamorous party attire is great; ballgowns are absolutely in keeping with the style of the occasion as are tiaras. Please just don't show up in jeans (as if you would...) or inappropriately dressed or we may have to send you home to think again!

CEILIDH DANCING
The dances will be 'called' - in other words, you'll be given instructions to help with the steps if unfamiliar, in the early stages of the evening

The small print. Please read!

TICKETS
Tickets are non-refundable. Duplicate tickets for lost / stolen tickets cannot be issued, sorry. The event is Sold Out and we have zero tickets left. However on our Facebook page, at the top, is a post where readers can buy / sell tickets: good luck!

ENTRY & READMISSION
Entry
will only be permitted on production of a valid wristband ticket at the Welcome Desk. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. If you leave the venue (perhaps to watch the fireworks) you must retain your wristband ticket for readmission. To gain entry to the VIP Lounge you must have a platinum ticket with barcode as issued.

SECURITY & BEHAVIOUR
This is, for obvious reasons, now taken extra seriously and a full security team will be on duty. Please be reassured by this. The organisers reserve the right to refuse admission to ticket holders who arrive at the event drunk. Any guests who are behaving behaving in an anti-social manner will be asked to leave.
Guests' bags and jackets etc. may be searched / screened / scanned on arrival for security purposes. No alcohol is permitted and any found will be confiscated and entry may then be denied. Only food or drink purchased on site can be consumed at the event, for licence and security reasons (snacks and nibbles are available). Water is available free at water points.

OTHER DETAILS...
Artists billed may be subject to change. No refunds or exchanges will be given if the line-up changes. No refunds will be made except in the event of a full event cancellation, in which case refunds will be in full. As a condition of sale, ticket holders consent to being filmed and / or photographed at the event.
The organisers are unable to accept liability for personal damage, losses or injuries sustained at this event including damage and losses to property or unforeseeable actions of other patrons.

Thank you!
We look forward to welcoming you warmly to Edinburgh Hogmanay's Snow Ball Ceilidh.
We'll do all we possibly can to make sure you have a brilliant start to 2017.
We're going to have a ball!
